Philly Mint Silver from the SS Barry

 


Philadelphia Mint silver coins salvaged from the SS John Barry, sunk by U boat during World War II with $24 million in secret silver cache, only half of which has been recovered.

The Ship, sunk off the coast of Oman, gave the name to the John Barry Bar at the Muscat Hyatt Hotel, where the story of the SS John Barry treasure is told.
